There is a bit of a movement here to add more wildflowers to encourage bees, butterflies and insects. Most of the crops here are mono crops, corn, potatoes, wheat, barley, hay and grasses for forage.  This has lead to a decline in beneficial insects and farmers are sowing a border of wildflowers as an attractant.

Some bloke just rode around and shot videos of the bike paths. He did a great job, i tried shooting from the bike but results were shitty. The music is classical piano that PapaBas used to play everyday, so, sentimental for us. These are marked, well maintained bike paths.  There are many other self guided routes to choose. We live in the middle of these bike paths, near junction #34 and we try to go on a different excursion every day and our trips are getting longer, up to 35 kms a day now. Pack a picnic lunch and either hot or cold drinks, depending on the weather. Recently put a hitch on the little Fiat Panda and have a dedicated bike rack for 2 ebikes.  This will allow us to explore to other areas out of our daily range. Marjo is getting much more conf

Short video of morning feeding riot here. We have doves, pigeons, blackbirds, starlings, sparrows, ducks, water fowl, peafowl,  robins,  Tit mouse, nut hatch and others that pass through.  Many are nesting under the tiles on the roof, under the eaves,in the hedges and trees around the property. Peacocks are eating out of my hand now.
