 At Xmas, things are different here.  Rather than slaving away for a couple of days preparing a lavish feast of massive cut of meat or huge bird, many Dutch do this. Titbits PS:- We don't have one of these tingums.  There are many in the Thrift Shops after Xmas for just a few €s.  In warmer weather we prefer to cook/grill/wok/ outside with the peacocks and neighbor's chooks.     This bloke ignited propane gas, dunno if it got rid of the moles ? https://youtu.be/2XBQbS0ACm4 We have tried pissing in the tunnels, that didn't work and it's cold outside......got to take off too many clothes. Some locals use carbide gas....acetylene (carbide rocks in water) but nothing seems to work, humanely. The moles are after my garden worms. Last year I bought a kilo of garden worms and started a worm farm in crates to make compost.  That went well, so I buried 4 inch pipes in the garden and transferred the worms.  They have spread throughout the yard and garden, but unfortunately worms are the preferred diet for moles.
