Amsterdam is a couple of hours away.....we only pass by on the way to and fro from Schiphol airport

Ukatani .....wood posts on stone
Ukatani is a wood framed house, reconstructed from salvaged old farm buildings here. Several of the posts are anchored and sitting on big stones and I always wondered how it was constructed. The posts are scribed to the rock and bolted through it...see link below This beautiful stone is between the kitchen and living room. Two are outside by the front door. See the old millstone grain grinding stone inlayed into the stoop. The piece of old oak over the portal has the year 1739 carved in it. https://theyearofmud.com/2019/07/12/scribing-wood-to-stone/
