They have some very nice features and add ons, but the styles are more for recreation than transportation. I don't think that many Dutch will ride them.

My first commercial diving hat in the states...... When I first started oilfield diving in America I had to have all my own equipment for air diving........hat, hose, compressor, radio....+ a big strong tender to tote it around. Here is my first hat a very simple DESCO tinned copper helmet. That hat is still worth $4500-5000. Hat is still very popular with inland industrial divers working in contaminated waters and sewage. Desco air hat, made from tinned copper, big thick lexan faceplate, very simple,  I can't remember what I did with it, since we lived in New Orleans. Very few parts, in air inlet valve, an exhaust valve, a neck sealing dam, a microphone/speaker and a jock strap so it would not blow off your head. You need 2 tools for maintenance a crescent wrench and a screwdriver. That's not my pic.....my pics are not digital and in storage... Now, here is the historical stuff below. Had a farewell crab feast at Wendie and Keith Bishop. Local crabs, stone crab and spider crab. Locals don't eat the spider crab, but I do. Stone crab claws on left, Spider crab claws on right, i prefer the spiders. Stone crab claws $48/lb, no commercial market for the spiders, but I like them better. (Stone crab fishery is sustainable. One of the two claws of legal size is removed and crab is returned to ocean to grow another.) Belly full and chillaxin Stubbo enjoyed the visit. He likes to look at the ocean now, but does not swim or go in past his knees anymore.
