The Dutch King's Birthday....

The Kings birthday is a national holiday in The Netherlands.
It is a big party, the national flag is flown from private houses, entertainment events set up in big towns and lots of beer is consumed.  The king mixes with the common folk and likes to drink beer with them, what a king.
We put up our flag and went into Lichtenvoorde, a small nearby town and had fun.
Town centre closed off, stage up, lots of beer tents, food trucks and many groups entertaining for a night and a day.

The orange 'wimpel' flag is only flown on the king's birthday

Cold enough for a little fire in the woodstove, about 10-12°c and a bit damp outside

Pretty chilly and a bit damp

They set up ' Mini Pinkels' for the blokes and large toilet trailers for the sheilas, as lots of beer, in paper cups is consumed by all

The crowds are well behaved, much dancing and singing and it will be all cleaned up by morning.
