Made a new table, last week...for inside and outside
Made a new farmhouse table last week, only 1.5 metres long and six boards wide.
Had some Douglas fir deck boards left over from decking around de Billabong and a couple of bed slats from a Thrift shop.
Also found some 4 " welded square steel legs, with screw height adjusters at local big box store.
No messing about with apron, or complicated joints, just doubled up the edge boards and added the bed slats to make breadboard end.
The steel legs had a flange on top to screw directly into the underside.
The sanding and sealing took more time.
We eat outside the barn in summer, it has a nice crank down shade awning.
Summer time, pretty lush here...
