Lots of sheep. Where is the meat ?
There are lots of sheep around our area. There were hundreds of lambs in the spring.
Here is a flock in a paddock of heather in the forest. The heather is not blooming yet, as it has been very dry.
But where is the meat ? Local fresh lamb is hard to find and when you do it can be about €35 per kilo. Bloody expensive. It is available frozen from a local supermarkets Aldi/Lidl at times, imported from NZ and about €12/kilo.
