Lyre bird......have you ever seen or heard one ?
The Lyre bird is a nondescript, seldom seen, rather small Australian ground bird whose tail, when extended resembles a 'lyre'. The male builds a 'bower', which is a display area to attract a mate.
The bird has a range of beautiful songs and can imitate almost any sound, other birds, chainsaw, train whistle tractor, bird calls, kookaburra, etc.
