Death Toll From Boat Sinking Off Abaco Rises To 28

To provide a lite update on the sunken boat this morning, the unofficial information so far indicates that about 10 migrants were found alive, and approximately 16 deceased. It is so far uncertain how many people were on the boat but numbers circulating indicate between 40 to as many as 100 persons were on board. The vessel went down just outside Fowl Cay and BASRA, RBDF, RBPF, USCG and others have been scouring from Man-O-War to just outside Baker’s. Searches are expected to be ongoing throughout the weekend.

Pray for the victims and all the officers and volunteers who are out searching for survivors.
