Skating on thin ice......dem Cloggies smart

The Ultimate for the Dutch is to be able to ice skate outdoors on a naturally frozen surface.  Usually this is a pond or a farm field that is flooded and allowed to freeze.

With the Global warming, climate changes  and warm winters in Europe, not many outdoor rinks, or fields or ponds are freezing thick enough to skate on.

So, some smart engineer type bloke poured insulated, light weight concrete on an asphalt inline skating track and then sprays light coats of water which freezes fast and allows skating with only one centimetre of ice.  There is no falling through thin ice into deeper water as the ice is only 1 cm thick.
